Blocksquare is a real estate tokenization framework that records each property on Ethereum as its own ERC20 token with a fixed maximum supply. Every token carries an on chain property record holding the street address, geographic coordinates, a valuation and the settlement currency, maintained through a central property registry contract. Properties are onboarded by Certified Partners, which are the entities that own or control the underlying real estate, while Blocksquare supplies the contracts, the registry and the marketplace. Valuations are written on chain by the operator and revised by corporate resolution on a periodic basis rather than by market pricing or an oracle. Holding a property token requires passing onboarding checks and transfers are limited to approved addresses. Blocksquare also operates Oceanpoint, a staking and pooling layer for these tokens, and the separate BST protocol token.
