PSM swaps between USDD and USDT or USDC are 1 to 1 with no service fee. Vault minted USDD accrues an onchain stability fee with no published bps schedule. Initial 20 percent sUSDD yield was subsidized by TRON DAO. Crypto collateralized so no fiat float income.

Regulatory status
USDD is not registered or licensed with any financial regulator and its documentation positions it as a decentralized protocol with no central issuer. USDD 2.0 relaunched in January 2025 as an overcollateralized CDP stablecoin. The SEC case against Justin Sun and TRON entities over TRX and BTT ended in March 2026 with a 10 million dollar Rainberry penalty and all other claims dismissed with prejudice.
Entity structure
USDD 1.0 was issued by the TRON DAO Reserve. USDD 2.0 has no identified corporate issuer and is minted through overcollateralized vault smart contracts with community governance. No legal entity is disclosed as accountable for the stablecoin.
