Entity structure
The Swiss M0 Foundation promotes the protocol while a separate development company, M0 Labs, raised the venture funding. Protocol control sits with the onchain Two Token Governor where POWER holders vote on regular proposals and ZERO holders on key changes.
Regulation
The M0 Foundation is a Swiss foundation in Zug supervised by the federal foundation supervisory authority, and neither it nor the protocol holds a FINMA license. Stablecoin issuance on the network is performed by permissioned third party issuers described as regulated in their own jurisdictions, such as Anchorage Digital, Bridge, MoonPay, and MXON. The Foundation states it is not a protocol actor.
