After the acquisition by LayerZero Foundation in September 2025, the Stargate DAO has been dissolved. STG holders can convert to ZRO at a fixed rate.
Governance Rights
ControlThe Stargate DAO approved LayerZero's acquisition, the DAO has been dissolved & all remaining STG that the DAO held has been burned. STG holders will be able to convert their tokens to ZRO at a fixed swap ratio of 1 STG to 0.08634 ZRO.
Governance Decisions
LayerZero Foundation has assumed ownership & operation of all Stargate Finance duties.
Treasury Decisions
Any remaining STG held by the former DAO was burned in February 2026.
Revenue Decisions
veSTG revenue share program ended. There is no longer STG staking.
Fee Switch
ONExcess Stargate revenues were previously split between veSTG holders and ZRO buybacks. 100% of excess revenues now flow to ZRO buybacks on the open market.
Primary Value Accrual
BuybacksValue accrues to ZRO through buybacks funded by excess Stargate revenue.
Equity Statement
Zero will not issue any new tokens, ZRO is the only asset. After the fee switch is activated, all platform revenues and economic value generated by Zero, LayerZero, and Stargate will directly belong to ZRO holders.
Economic Rights
Value CaptureStargate bridging continues to function, but is now part of the LayerZero stack and accrues value to ZRO exclusively. All future excess revenue generated by Stargate is directed towards reducing the circulating supply of ZRO through a buyback program.
