Notes

  • kicUSDC is the NAV-accruing share token of Kamino's Institutional Commodity Yield vault on Solana. USDC deposits are lent, via an SPV, as short-tenor (1-3 month) loans to corporates and commodity traders, secured by physical commodity inventory or 1:1 escrowed cash with cargo insured in transit
  • roughly 93% of capital is deployed off-chain and the rest is held as an on-chain liquidity buffer. Yield accrues through share price appreciation rather than a rebase, and withdrawals are served from the buffer first, then from a FIFO queue as loans mature. The on-chain SPL mint symbol is kV-KICUSDC
  • Kamino's own UI and adapters call it kicUSDC.
