Ethena Protocol Overview
This dashboard provides an analysis of Ethena, focusing on available metrics for its key components. Ethena is a synthetic dollar protocol built on Ethereum, offering a crypto-native solution for a stable, scalable digital asset.
Important Note on Data Availability:
Currently, detailed historical metrics such as TVL, fees, or volume are not available for all Ethena sub-protocols (Ethena tsUSDe, Ethena USDtb). This dashboard will focus on the medianApy for Ethena USDe, which is the only available metric at this time. We will update this dashboard as more data becomes available.
Ethena USDe Median APY: This chart displays the median Annual Percentage Yield (APY) for Ethena USDe. The APY for USDe is generated through a delta-hedging strategy using staked Ethereum (stETH) and corresponding short perpetual futures positions. Fluctuations in this APY reflect market conditions, funding rates, and the underlying yield from staked ETH.
Understanding Ethena's Role:
Ethena aims to create a censorship-resistant, scalable synthetic dollar (USDe) that is fully collateralized and can operate independently of traditional banking infrastructure. Its yield-bearing nature, derived from combining staked ETH yield with perpetual futures funding rates, positions it as a unique player in the stablecoin and yield generation landscape.
