# **Motion Project Proposal**

### **1. Objective**

To commission an official due diligence report on the Motoko token to evaluate it for potential inclusion as a trusted token in the Taco DAO ecosystem.

### **2. Background**

Motoko is one of the most recognizable and active tokens in the ICP space. It’s deeply tied to the culture and community of the Internet Computer — from its name (based on the Motoko programming language) to its meme value, to actual work being done like Motoko Mining and the Toko Market NFT platform.

There’s usually a conversation on OpenChat where tokens get nominated and discussed before any due diligence happens. I want to speed this up by asking the DAO to formally commission a review — not jump straight to listing, but just take a serious look.

### **3. Why this is important**

The Motoko token is a big deal in the ICP community. They’ve recently acquired the BTC Flower DAO, they’re building useful tools (NFT marketplace, mining project), and they’ve got a strong, engaged community that helps onboard new users.

Instead of waiting for a casual chat to spark a report, let’s make it official and give it the proper attention. If it turns out they don’t meet the standard — fair enough. But right now, they’ve more than earned a review.

- Gives the community a clear report to base a future decision on.

- Saves time and avoids messy back-and-forth without structure.

- Motoko is already visible, active, and growing — this keeps Taco DAO aligned with the culture.

- Low-risk: we’re not voting to list — just to *look*.

I propose that SNEED DAO be officially added to the list of trusted tokens in the Taco DAO SNS. This vote does **not** allocate any funds — it simply designates SNEED DAO as a recognized and supported token within the Taco DAO governance framework.

We are preparing to inject 777 ICP from our treasury into our portfolio. This value will be rebalanced according to the aggregated voting of the DAO. 
Trades will occur on a randomized token in need of rebalancing every X minutes. We propose X= 7 minutes initially.
For this initial amount, we plan to set our minimum trade size at 0.3 ICP and our maximum trade size at 2 ICP. 
Trades will be a random amount between this minimum and maximum until allocation targets are hit.
As we scale more ICP into the portfolio, we should increase this minimum and maximum trade size in direct proportion to the size of the contribution presuming the trades are set to occur at the same frequency.

If we add ICP to the portfolio at 1/2 the rate that we are trading i.e. we add 1 ICP every 14 minutes but trade 1 ICP of value every 7 minutes then it becomes more uncertain which direction our next trade will be in.

With 10 icp, we can estimate our losses from slippage and trading fees per year to be ~ 2541.66icp, with 5 icp the estimation is ~ 1396.60icp. these estimates come from some thingamajig snassy cooked up.
