This proposal aims to remove the canister with ID : 4wk3i-nyaaa-aaaam-qbiiq-cai from the BOOM DAO SNS in order to optimize cycle consumption of the DAO. The canister is currently not being utilized by the DAO and serves no active purpose within its operations.

Proposal to Deregister Inactive Canister from the BOOM DAO SNS

This motion proposal requests approval from the BOOM DAO community to transfer and stake 50 million BOOM tokens from the BOOM Gaming Guild canister to the BOOM DAO Panama Foundation (Omniplay Foundation).

To mitigate this risk of hostile takeover from bad actors with all the damage and drama associated with it, we propose transferring an additional 50 millions of tokens to the foundation for long-term governance purpose.

All tokens allocated to the Omniplay Foundation will be staked for the maximum dissolve delay period, and the staked neuron will remain locked permanently. 

This proposal aligns with the Omniplay Foundation’s goal of protecting the DAO from bad actors and ensuring stakeholders remain aligned for the future development of BOOM DAO.

**Summary:**
This proposal requests **1,000 ICP** from the BOOM DAO treasury to conduct a **test buyback program**. The purpose of this test is to evaluate and refine mechanisms for a potential larger-scale BOOM buyback program in the future.

**Details of Allocation:**

* **90% (900 ICP):** Used to buy back BOOM tokens from the market. All BOOM purchased will be staked under the **BOOM Foundation’s neurons**, strengthening long-term governance and alignment with the DAO.

## Background 
On **October 7, 2023, at 16:54:35 UTC**, the voting period for an [SNS proposal](https://dashboard.internetcomputer.org/sns/xjngq-yaaaa-aaaaq-aabha-cai/proposal/15) concluded without the participation of BOOM DAO's beacon neuron. This occurred due to unforeseen emergency circumstances involving one of the voting members. This incident revealed vulnerabilities in the current beacon neuron structure of BOOM DAO, indicating that it lacks the necessary robustness and decentralization to fulfill its primary objective, which is to consistently vote on behalf of the community, ensuring that all community members receive their voting rewards as intended. We extend our apologies to the community for this oversight and are taking immediate action through this motion proposal to rectify the situation in the best interests of the BOOM DAO community.

## Proposed Solution
We propose a two-fold solution to rectify the beacon neuron issue, one that is in the best interest of the community's future and guarantees the prevention of this mistake, regardless of external circumstances. This solution encompasses both the compensation for lost rewards resulting from beacon neuron non-voting and the enhancement of the beacon neuron structure to bolster its robustness and decentralization.

## Offsetting Lost Rewards
The adoption of this motion proposal will initiate the creation of two additional motion proposals this week. The primary objective of these two proposals will be to test a new beacon neuron voting process while generating rewards for BOOM DAO's voting members. By including the current motion proposal, this would bring the total number of motion proposals to three. This multi-pronged approach will significantly mitigate the impact of lost rewards due to beacon neuron non-voting.

## Beacon Neuron Structure Enhancement 
The current beacon neuron structure involves the two co-founders of BOOM DAO, meaning that for the beacon neuron to vote, it requires both co-founders to vote **YES** or one to vote **NO**. As the vast majority of BOOM DAO SNS proposals entail technical upgrades and necessitate a **YES** vote, it almost invariably mandates the manual participation of both co-founders. This configuration has recently revealed itself as a single point of failure, as evidenced when one co-founder was unable to participate, resulting in the failure of a **YES** vote proposal.

To address this vulnerability, we propose the inclusion of a third voting member from the BOOM DAO core team in the beacon neuron. With this adjustment, only two out of the three voting members will need to reach a consensus—either by voting **YES** or **NO**—for the beacon neuron to cast its vote. This structural enhancement will significantly enhance decentralization and robustness within the beacon neuron. We are confident that this change will ensure uninterrupted beacon neuron voting in the future, effectively safeguarding the community's best interests.

BOOM DAO Proposal for Funding

This is a proposal to release the On-Chain Leaderboard Standard built by the BOOM DAO core team to the public and complete the Leaderboard Standard milestone on the BOOM DAO Roadmap. More information about the Leaderboard Standard can be found below.

## What's the Leaderboard Standard?

At the moment, no standard exists for storing Leaderboards in on-chain games. This suppresses network effects because Dapps are unable to read Leaderboard data in a universal format. This fragmentation has lead most games to store Leaderboards off-chain or build siloed Leaderboards.

The On-Chain Leaderboard Standard solves this problem and unites game developers with tooling for storing Leaderboard data in canisters under an interoperable data format.

## How do I use the Leaderboard Standard?

If this proposal is approved, the following week there will be a set of canister upgrade proposals to upgrade the World Protocol canisters with the new Leaderboard Standard features. Complete and Release the Leaderboard Standard Roadmap Milestone

This proposal aims to provide an overview of the proposed technical design for the On-Chain Multiplayer roadmap milestone. 

## Why On-Chain Multiplayer?
BOOM DAO has met with numerous game projects building multiplayer games on ICP, and we've gathered feedback regarding game design, technical requirements, and multiplayer features. A unique design space has emerged where one player can interact with another player entirely through smart contract update calls. This opens the door to new game genres and use cases that will harness the network effects and composability of multiplayer smart contracts. Due to the high-latency of update calls on ICP, building a fully on-chain multiplayer game requires thinking from first principles. We've concluded that there's massive potential in exploring slow-paced game genres that are best suited for high-latency on-chain multiplayer, such as turn-based and time-based game genres. We've designed a multiplayer framework to make it seamless for any developer to configure a multiplayer game in a canister smart contract.

## The Requirements
When one player interacts with another player through a canister, the canister must be the authority that ensures the rules of the game are being followed. The canister replaces the role of a game server in traditional game architecture. All game logic must reside inside of the canister.

Considering this, the BOOM DAO team set out to design an on-chain multiplayer framework adhering to the following requirements:
 1. The multiplayer framework must be 100% on-chain in ICP canister smart contracts.
 2. The multiplayer framework must be deeply integrated with the World Protocol.
 3. The multiplayer framework must be generic enough to support a diverse array of game genres.
 4. Developers must be able to deploy and configure the multiplayer framework without having to write any canister code.
 5. Developers must be able to define the **rules** of each multiplayer action in their World canister.
 6. No player can break these rules, otherwise the World canister invalidates the action.

## The Design
With these requirements in mind, the BOOM DAO team crafted a technical design of the multiplayer framework in the World Protocol:
 1. Actions must be refactored to contain two SubActions that can be optionally configured.
 2. Each SubAction represents each player on either side of a multiplayer Action. One SubAction for the user who initiated the Action. One SubAction for the user who is being targeted.
 3. The World canister validates both players data against the SubActions to ensure the players aren't cheating, generates the outcomes for both SubActions, and then stores the outcomes in the players respective UserNode canisters.
 4. Action outcomes must support formulas that can run complex equations involving the data of both users and output a numeric outcome. Eg. ( userA.health - ( userB.attack * ( userB.swordDamage * userB.attackBuff * 0.25 ) ) )
 5. NFT/ICP/ICRC payments, transfers, minting, and burning would be handled by ActionConstraints instead of ActionPlugins. ActionPlugins will be deprecated. This will drastically improve developer experience and reduce code complexity.
 6. Transaction ledger history functionality must be added to the BOOM EXT V2 standard in order to validate NFT transfers for ActionConstraints that require an NFT transfer. The BOOM DAO team looks forward to the ICRC-7 NFT standard being finalized and released.
 7. With these new changes, the game client will only ever need to call one function in the World canister: the processAction() function.
 8. The processAction() function will only have two arguments, the targetPrincipalId and the actionId.
 9. The targetPrincipalId will be the player principal ID that the client is targeting for the multiplayer action. The actionId is the ID of the Action in the World canister that the client wants to call.
     
Furthermore, a matchmaking system and room partitioning system will be built to ensure canister data transmission is synchronized with player groupings in the World canister. The BOOM DAO team has decided to implement two different designs for the matchmaking/room system to give game developers flexibility to choose the design that fits their needs.

The first design will use a matchmaking and room system built directly into the World canister and use polling to query the UserNode canisters every two seconds to fetch the latest state changes of users in a room. This design is 100% on-chain as the clients are polling the World canister directly.

The second design will leverage the Websocket framework built by the Omnia team to implement room partitioning and canister data synchronization. The Websocket framework relies on a **websocket gateway** hosted off-chain that polls canisters and relays any updates to the connected clients. There aren't any security vulnerabilities in the Websocket framework, since the websocket gateway cannot tamper, reorder or block messages being passed through. However, the main concern is ensuring 100% up-time for websocket gateways in case they fail or stop working. There also needs to be a way to ensure websocket gateway providers are compensated and incentivized to host many gateways in many geo-locations around the world. The benefit of using the Websocket framework is that clients can front-run sending messages to each other while waiting for the World canister to validate a multiplayer action. This could be useful for front-running visual changes where a game client could make a visual change for the user before the multiplayer action in the World canister has finished processing. It could also be useful for multiplayer simulation, in order for a player to see other players running around in their environment.

Both designs connect to the same canister smart contracts, it's simply the game client code that differs between the designs. Game developers will be able to make their decision on which implementation they prefer to use.

This proposal aims to provide an overview of the proposed design for the BOOM Gaming Guilds roadmap milestone.

## What is it?

The BOOM Gaming Guild will enable onchain gamers to join an exclusive community of gamers and complete quests. Quests are tasks related to various BOOM DAO games that guild members can complete to receive guild rewards.

At first, there will only be a single BOOM Gaming Guild that will provide a central gaming community and passionate user base to grow ICP games. Any game building on the BOOM DAO World Protocol will be able to leverage the BOOM Gaming Guild to acquire users to their game through customizable in-game quests and rewards. 

In the future, more guilds can be created, and configured with quests and rewards permissionlessly. The inaugural BOOM Gaming Guild will be accessible on the BOOM Game Launcher website.

## The Design

The architecture will leverage the existing composability of the World Protocol to layer the functionality of Gaming Guilds on top of any BOOM DAO games. Guilds will be configured using a World canister, the same type of canister used as a backend for BOOM DAO games. We will refer to this as a Guild canister, even though the code is equivalent to a World canister. 

A Guild canister can have Actions configured that represent the guild’s quests. Quests are tasks that guild members can complete in various BOOM games to claim rewards in the Guild. Since quests are configured on top of the World Protocol, they are extremely customizable and work seamlessly with any game on the World Protocol. 

For example, quests could be: “Reach Level 5 in X Game”, “Play 30 battles in Y Game”, and “Accumulate 1M Gold in Z Game”. Completing these quests would allow you to claim ICRC or ICP tokens in the BOOM Gaming Guild as rewards and earn Guild XP. All ICRC/ICP assets in the Guild treasury would be held in the Guild canister and rewarded on-chain for completion of quests. BOOM DAO games and guilds can create ICRC/NFT collections and use them to reward guild members to grow and retain their community.

## Our Vision

The BOOM DAO team is thrilled to provide an overview of the proposed BOOM Gaming Guilds roadmap milestone. We believe BOOM Gaming Guilds are going to play a major role to attract way more gamers and game developers to the Internet Computer ecosystem. # Motion Proposal: Add WebSockets to ICP.NET with funding from BoomDAO

## Background and Motivation

I am a .NET and C# developer and a contributor to the BoomDAO project. My online alias is Gekctek, but legally I am Ethan Celletti. I have worked with core contributors and IC game devs previously, mostly for the development of ICP.NET, a .NET agent for the Internet Computer. I plan to be a contributor for a long time, to build core infrastucture for the IC and to help the community grow. This proposal is to add onto the work I have been doing with compensation through BoomDAO.

ICP.NET, currently enables .NET applications to interact with the IC through HTTP requests. The proposed integration of WebSocket functionality into ICP.NET is a critical step towards enabling real-time, bidirectional communication, which is particularly beneficial for IC games. This enhancement aims to extend the capabilities of IC games beyond the current scope of HTTP requests, enabling more dynamic interactions. It will also offer IC game developers improved tools, which can help in developing more interactive and engaging gaming experiences.

In working with IC game developers and BoomDAO contributors, it's become clear that the existing JavaScript SDK doesn't completely address all developer needs. This realization has led to the proposal for porting the WebSocket JavaScript library to C#. The goal of integrating this with ICP.NET is to provide a more suitable solution that aligns with the practical requirements of these developers, ensuring that the tools available are both effective and responsive to their specific needs in the evolving landscape of game development on the Internet Computer.

A flat rate of 5,000 USD in ICP, calculated at time of payment, upon completion of the project. This will be facilitated through a transfer proposal through BoomDAO to be funded by the BoomDAO treasury.

This is achieved through streamlining the development process for participating gaming teams by offering extensive technical and growth support.

## BGMA is built on two fundamental pillars:

1. Synergy and Collaboration: BGMA fosters collaboration among all creators of fully on-chain games or autonomous virtual worlds utilizing BOOM DAO's World Protocol, leveraging the power of network effects for mutual benefits and collective advancement. 

2. Technical and Growth Support: BOOM DAO's core team is committed to providing ongoing technical and growth support to onboard games, integrate them with BOOM DAO's World Protocol, and expand their user bases through exclusive tools like BOOM Gaming Guilds or cross-game on-chain collaborations.

## How does the BOOM Game Maker Alliance work?

At its core, BGMA is a process geared towards building a thriving BOOM DAO gaming ecosystem. The quality of this process is the main determining factor to coordinate collectively in the most efficient way possible to deliver the highest impact for the ICP gaming vertical. The process described in this proposal should be considered as a first iteration to move fast before iterating based on community’s feedback. 

This first iteration is the result of weeks of interactions with gaming teams actively building with BOOM DAO. The focus for BGMA is intentionally on the World Protocol as this has been identified as the gaming protocol with the best potential to create major network effects among BOOM DAO, and by extension the ICP gaming vertical and ICP ecosystem as a whole.

## Onboarding 

The first step in joining BGMA will be quick and easy. A simple form will be publicly available for any team interested in building their fully on-chain game or autonomous world on top of BOOM DAO’s protocol. Filling out this form will lead to a call with BOOM DAO’s core team to get to know each other and figure out if joining BGMA would be a good fit.

## World Protocol Integration

This phase will be about helping the teams integrate the World Protocol to have their game running fully on-chain and be connected to other games that are part of it. The BOOM DAO core team will be providing ongoing technical support throughout this critical phase and will make this transition as smooth as possible for BGMA participants.

## BOOM Gaming Guild Integration

This phase will be about configuring on-chain quests in the games to benefit from BOOM Gaming Guilds as a user acquisition strategy and community-building tool. The gamers will be able to complete various quests and get token rewards. This is a critical integration for BGMA teams to grow and retain their user base. Similar to the World Protocol integration, BOOM DAO core team will carefully assist to find the set of quests that drive the best result for each game.

## Milestone-Based Incentives

The BGMA team will be incentivised to receive between 000 and 0000 for simply joining BGMA and actively developing on top of the World Protocol. This incentive will be milestone-based, with half of it delivered once the World Protocol integration is completed and the game is running fully on-chain on BOOM DAO’s gaming infrastructure. The other half will be tied to usage metrics post-integration and after Gaming Guilds are leveraged by the game.

## Weekly Office Hours

In order to hold everyone accountable to deliver the best results for the community, the BOOM DAO core team will hold weekly office hours with each BGMA participant. These weekly office hours will be tailor-made to review the progress of each project on a weekly basis. And to assess their challenges, their needs, and help them execute on their most important next steps.

## Monthly Cross-Game Workshop

Each month at least one Cross-Game Workshop for on-chain games will be organised where all BGMA games will participate. The main goal of this workshop is to connect all games together to create synergies through on-chain cross-game collaborations. This will lead to active collaborations and grow network effects among the projects building on the World Protocol.

Following this motion proposal, we will submit 2 additional proposals to apply for the transfer of 5,000 ICP and 3,850,400 BOOM, respectively, from the BOOM DAO SNS treasury to the ICP/BOOM Swap canister owned by ICPSwap (fdno6-ayaaa-aaaag-qckuq-cai). The destination account for both transfer proposals will be the same but on 2 different ledgers of BOOM and ICP respectively and is as follows:

The liquidity funds will be located in the Subaccount generated by the BOOM DAO governance canister. 

Simultaneously, @ICPSwap will tweet to verify that these proposals are correct and that they were initiated by the BOOM DAO core team.

If these proposals are approved, ICPSwap will add the funds to the liquidity pool. Half of the transferred funds will provide liquidity in the range of 0.00043 ICP to 0.0039 ICP per BOOM, and the other half will provide liquidity in the full range for the ICP/BOOM pool.

Please note: There may be price fluctuations for BOOM between proposal initiation and successful transfer. When adding liquidity, the price range will be dynamically adjusted based on the current price of BOOM, but it will not deviate significantly from the set price range.

Subsequent proposals can be made to add more liquidity or adjust the ranges if the price of BOOM experiences significant changes.

# Treasury Fund Transfer Proposal: Compensation for adding WebSockets to ICP.NET

## Overview

This proposal is the follow up to the motion proposal (https://nns.ic0.app/proposal/?u=xjngq-yaaaa-aaaaq-aabha-cai&proposal=44) to compensate Ethan Celletti (Gekctek) for adding WebSockets to ICP.NET.

## Requested amount

Motion Proposal: Quarterly Compensation for Ongoing Maintenance and Feature Additions to ICP.NET

Background and Rationale

In line with BoomDAO's commitment to supporting the ongoing development of IC gaming infrastructure, I, Gekctek, legally Ethan Celletti, propose to serve as an independent core contributor, seeking ongoing quarterly funding from BoomDAO for the enhancement and maintenance of ICP.NET. This proposal, developed after discussions with core community members and game developers, outlines the framework for my continuous contributions. Securing this funding is essential for dedicating the necessary resources and time, ensuring that ICP.NET receives the focused attention required for its advancement and sustainability.

ICP.NET, a .NET agent for the Internet Computer, requires regular updates and maintenance for optimal efficiency and reliability. My focus is on ensuring that ICP.NET stays up to date with latest IC technology and meets the evolving needs of its users. This proposal is aimed at establishing a structure for consistent support and improvement of ICP.NET, contributing to BoomDAO's vision of fostering robust IC infrastructure.
