Ekubo Protocol is a dex built for Starknet featuring concentrated liquidity, a singleton architecture, and extensions. EKUBO is the governance and utility token designed to decentralize ownership of the protocol.

Governance Rights

Control

Staking is required to vote on or create proposals. Creating a proposal requires staking 100k EKUBO tokens (1% of the total supply). Each staked EKUBO token equals one vote, and staking or unstaking can be done at any time without fees. As of August 2025, the DAO currently holds ownership of Ekubo Protocol smart contracts, meaning it can upgrade the contracts on Starknet and collect revenue on EVM & Starknet. There is no upgrade mechanism for EVM contracts.

Governance Decisions

For a proposal to pass, it must receive 3.5 million votes in favor (35% of the total token supply), and creating a proposal requires staking 100k EKUBO tokens (1% of the total supply).
